California Life Insurance License Guide

To get a California Life insurance license, you must pass the Life licensing exam, complete the required 12-hour Ethics & California Insurance Code course before license issuance, submit the state application and fingerprints, and receive approval from the California Department of Insurance. California no longer requires product-specific pre-licensing education before the exam.


California Life and Health Insurance License Guide

To sell both Life and Health insurance in California, you need Life and Accident and Health or Sickness authority, must pass the combined licensing exam, complete the required 12-hour Ethics & California Insurance Code course, and satisfy the state application and fingerprint requirements.


Florida 2-40 Health Insurance License Guide

The Florida 2-40 Health insurance license provides authority to sell Health insurance products in Florida. Applicants using the standard education path must complete a 40-hour Florida-approved Health pre-licensing course before applying, pass the 2-40 state exam with a 70% score, submit fingerprints, and receive approval from the Florida Department of Financial Services. The state exam may be taken before the course is completed, and the license requires an appointment to be valid.


Florida 2-14 Life Insurance License Guide

The Florida 2-14 Life insurance license provides authority to sell Life insurance and annuity products in Florida, including variable contracts. Applicants using the standard education path must complete a 30-hour Florida-approved Life pre-licensing course before applying, pass the 2-14 state exam with a 70% score, submit fingerprints, and receive approval from the Florida Department of Financial Services. An appointment is required for the license to be valid.
