To get a Texas Life insurance license, officially the Life Agent license, pass the Pearson VUE Life Agent exam, complete the required fingerprint background check, and submit the resident license application. Texas does not require state-mandated pre-licensing education for the standard permanent Life Agent license.
To get a New York Health insurance license, complete the required 20-hour DFS-approved Accident and Health pre-licensing course, pass the Accident and Health licensing exam, and submit the license application. The license provides authority to sell Accident and Health insurance products in New York.
To get a New York Life insurance license, complete the required 20-hour DFS-approved Life pre-licensing course, pass the Life licensing exam, and submit the license application. The license provides authority to sell Life insurance products, including life insurance policies and annuities.
To obtain both Life and Accident & Health authority in New York, complete the required 40-hour DFS-approved combined pre-licensing course, pass the combined Life, Accident and Health licensing exam, and submit the license application.
To get a California Health insurance license, officially the Accident and Health or Sickness Agent license, you must pass the state licensing exam, complete the required 12-hour Ethics & California Insurance Code course before license issuance, submit the application and fingerprints, and receive approval from the California Department of Insurance. California no longer requires product-specific pre-licensing education before the exam.
