No. Michigan insurance licensing examinations are no longer available through remote online proctoring.
DIFS discontinued new registrations for remote insurance examinations effective June 10, 2025. Remote examinations that had already been scheduled were permitted only through June 30, 2025. Current examinations must be taken in person at an authorized PSI testing center.
This is an important distinction when planning your exam because older Michigan licensing information may still reference the remote testing option that was previously available.

Do You Need Your Pre-Licensing Certificate at the Testing Center?
No. You do not need to bring your Michigan pre-licensing Certificate of Course Completion to the testing center.
Approved pre-licensing education providers electronically report course completion information to DIFS. The completion information is then matched with the candidate’s licensing application and examination results.
Your Certificate of Course Completion is still important. Michigan states that the certificate is valid for 12 months from the course completion date, and the corresponding licensing examination must be successfully completed during that period.
