Oklahoma Insurance Exam Qualifications

In order to qualify to sit for your Life, or Accident & Health, or Life, Accident & Health Oklahoma insurance exam, the following must occur:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a resident of the state of Oklahoma
  • Not committed an act that is a ground for denial, suspension, or revocation of an insurance license

Basic Steps to Obtain an Oklahoma Insurance License

  1. Prepare for your state exam with an insurance course from an approved Oklahoma insurance school for Life, or Accident & Health, or Life, Accident & Health, such as the courses offered by National Online Insurance School.
  2. Schedule your state exam online through Prometric, or contact them by phone at 1-888-597-8223.
  3. Upon successfully completing your state insurance exam, you should complete an insurance license application through Vertafore (formerly Sircon). Once you are on Vertafore’s website, you will choose 'Apply for a license' from the menu on the left. On the next page choose 'Individual' next to Submit Resident Application. Next, complete the application by choosing Oklahoma, entering your information and submitting the appropriate application fees.
  • Note: You must complete your application and fingerprints, and receive your insurance license from the Department of Insurance within 2 years of passing your state insurance exam.

$60 Application Fee
