Insurance Exam Qualifications
In order to qualify to sit for your Series 16-01 Life insurance, the Series 16-02 Accident & Health, or the Series 16-03 Life, Accident & Health Pennsylvania insurance exam, the following must occur:- Successfully complete a 24 hour approved insurance course for that respective license, such as those provide by National Online Insurance School. Provider ID# 84660
- Complete an online application for your insurance license and submit appropriate fees
- Be a natural person at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of the state of Pennsylvania
- Be a United States citizen or legal alien who possesses a work authorization from the United States Immigration and Naturalization Services
- Not committed an act that is a ground for denial, suspension, or revocation of an insurance license
- Be fingerprinted at one of the Department's fingerprint sites
- If licensed in another state within three years, provide a Letter of Clearance
- Who is Exempt from the Insurance Exam?
- - A candidate who possesses the Professional Designation CLU-Chartered Life Underwriter applying for Life or Accident and Health Line;
- - A candidate who has the Professional Designation CPCU-Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter applying for Property, Casualty or Accident and Health Line of Authority;
- - A candidate who has the Professional Designation CIC-Certified Insurance Counselor applying for Life, Accident and Health or Property and Casualty Line of Authority.
