The day has arrived to take your state insurance exam. \u00a0You’ve memorized all the facts and figures. \u00a0You have a thorough understanding of the material and how concepts relate to one another. \u00a0You are finally able to distinguish aleatory from adhesion! \u00a0This is great, but you feel a little anxious about what to expect and you want to make sure you’re ready.<\/p>\n
To help remove any apprehension you may have towards your insurance exam, we have compiled a few helpful tips!<\/p>\n
Get to the testing center at least 30 to 45 minutes before the scheduled time of your insurance exam. \u00a0Arriving early is important because it allows you time to locate the facility and not feel tense going into the exam. \u00a0It gives you time to relax and clear your mind. \u00a0Being relaxed is crucial to your success on the exam.<\/p>\n
Many exam mistakes happen when candidates rush through questions without fully understanding what is being asked. Knowing how insurance licensing exam questions are structured<\/a> can help you slow down, recognize what the question is truly testing, and avoid choosing answers that are technically incorrect.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Once you arrive, you will sign in and verify your identification and test registration. \u00a0If you are late and are not allowed to take the exam, you will have to reschedule it for a future date and for an additional fee.<\/p>\n You must present a valid, government-issued form of identification, such as a driver\u2019s license, state-issued identification card, passport, or military ID. \u00a0Your identification card must contain a current photo and your signature. \u00a0The name on your ID must match the name on your exam registration. \u00a0Some states require two forms of identification, so review your candidate handbook<\/a> prior to arriving at the test center.<\/p>\n If your Department of Insurance requires the completion of a pre-licensing course, you may also be required to present your Certificate of Completion to the testing proctor during sign in.<\/p>\n Before starting the exam, you will have an opportunity to take a tutorial on how the exam works and key features located on the screen. \u00a0Time you spend completing the tutorial will not reduce from your actual exam time.<\/p>\n During your test you will not have access to personal items, including calculators. \u00a0Your testing proctor will provide materials to write notes and perform calculations.<\/p>\nWhat to bring<\/h4>\n
